Dr. Samy El Badawy is a Professor of Radiation Oncology at National Cancer Institute, Cairo University, Egypt. He has obtained his MD degree at Cairo University and Fellowship degree from the Royal College of Radiologists, London in April 1975.

 

Dr. El Badawy has served as Vice Dean for Post graduate Education and Research, NCI, Cairo University, Chairman of Radiation Oncology Department and General Manager of Cancer Children Hospital, Cairo, Egypt.

 

Dr. El Badawy is active in national and international societies including the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society for Therapeutic Radiology, member of the Editorial Board of the International Journal of radiation Oncology, Biology and Physics and the Egyptian Cancer Society. 

 

Dr. El Badawy was involved in actively in research with international societies e.g. POG SWOG & EORTC. Now he is participating in two clinical trials with EORTC.

 

Dr. El Badawy has supervised 50 master’s degree and MD thesis.  He has published 80 papers in national and international journals.
